Jeff Platinsky
President, React Industries and React Technical
Jeff has 43 years of combined experience in the HVAC field as mechanical engineer, sheetmetal sketcher and project manager. Jeff has gained a reputation within the industry as an innovator of cost effective design concepts, design build abilities and a take charge hands on reputation for completing complex projects. As co-founder of React Industries over 22 years ago, Jeff has surrounded himself with a staff of high level professionals with varied backgrounds to maintain REACT’s reputation within the industry.

James Sarfaty
Executive Vice President
Jim has over 24 years of Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning experience, 22 of those years at React Industries. Presently as Executive Vice-President, Jim oversees all aspects of the Construction Division – from estimating, purchasing, project management, customer relations and coordination with the Service Department in the start-up, commissioning and warranty of all installations.

His ability to foresee critical issues of the construction process throughout all phases of the project is instrumental to the successful on-time completion of each project.

Marc Platinsky
Vice President
Marc joined the company in 1996 and heads up the Service, REACT Technical, and Accounting Departments of REACT Industries. Marc has varied Technical and Financial Background with a M.B.A. in Finance. His responsibilities include overall sales, marketing, project estimating, budgeting and management of the individual profit centers

His talents have transformed React into one of NYC most respected mechanical contractors through an intense focus on growth and productivity. The company has achieved consistent growth in earnings and cash flow over the past six years which has transformed React into one of the areas fastest growing full service mechanical contractors.

Marc has tripled the service contract and service revenue base of REACT Technical Services Division over the past three years. He has also been responsible for capitalizing upon the leading technologies that has brought business benefits to React Industries and its customers.

Thomas C. Lupo
Vice President and Director of Construction
Tom joined the firm in 2007 and has a wealth of knowledge in the HVAC industry with 27 years of practical experience in all aspects of our field. Tom as held positions such as Journeyman Sheet Metal Worker, Sketcher, Senior Project Manager as well as ten years as Owner and Chief Executive Officer of NY Sheet Metal Works Inc.

Tom spent a period of seven years working on many high profile projects in Upstate NY such as Fort Drum Air Base, Onondaga County Jail, Mohawk Correctional Facility and IBM East Fishkill Clean Rooms. In New York City, Tom completed various projects such as new buildings at Kings County Hospital, Bellevue DNA Lab and the New York Times World Headquarters. His experience and reputation precedes him and we are glad to welcome him to our team.

Richard T. Shaw P.E.
Mechanical Engineer
Richard has over 35 years of engineering and construction experience. Richard brings many talents to the table, most noticeably the ability to integrate engineering and construction as one unified element. His engineering approach to construction and his construction approach to engineering help deliver projects that are on time, on budget and with consideration of ongoing maintenance and energy costs. Richard specializes in HVAC design, site evaluations, energy and Building Department consulting.
